I and my wife Anni have many memories of Don when we were serving together at Kagnew Station, Ethiopia. They are all pleasant ones. Despite his constant fight arthritis, he always had a positive attitude and never wanted special treatment. Don was a special person and I will miss his E-mails and our far too few telephone conversations.

Sarah, I want to tell you that Don was a great friend while we worked at Ft Sill. We enjoyed lots of laughs. We also shared our birthdays together since mine was on the 23rd of Dec. I am currently in OKC taking radiation and will not be able to attend his service. May God be with you in your sorrow.
