Burial in the Walters Cemetery under the direction of Hart-Wyatt Funeral Home in Walters. Wanda Mae (McLendon) Harmon was born to Carl Thomas and Stella Alberta (Kreamer) McLendon on March 13, 1944 in Wickenburg, AZ and departed this life in Walters, OK on August 2, 2018 at the age of 74 years, 4 months and 20 days.

Wanda grew up in Arizona and New Mexico, moving around with her dad’s mining job. She left Silver City, NM in 1961 with a friend, moving to Chickasha, OK. There she met and married L.M. Harris and they eventually moved to Guymon, OK. To that a daughter, LaFonda, was born.

She later married Kermit Keith Harmon, Jr. on February 1, 1982 and lived in Lawton until moving to Medicine Park where they lived until making their home at Walters in 1987. She was employed at Warehouse Foods in Temple, Circle S, Happy Stop and EZ Go in Walters. Wanda enjoyed watching investigation and discovery shows on TV, going to the casino and loved animals. She was a member of First Baptist Church, Walters.

Wanda was preceded in death by her husband, Keith Harmon in 2015; her parents, Carl and Stella McLendon; 2 sisters, Betty McCarver of Tahlequah and Helen Stone of Guymon; sister-in-law, Mary Chason and husband Tub of Georgia; brothers-in-law, “Terry” Bayer of Land O’Lakes, FL, Glynn Harmon of Guymon, OK and Keith Dann of Geneva, FL.
