Frances McDonald, 84 of Temple, OK
Graveside Services at the Walters Cemetery, Walters, OK on Monday, July 16 at 10:00 a.m., Rev. Jay Driskill officiating under the direction of Hart-Wyatt Funeral Home in Walters.
Frances Luease (Buttrum) McDonald was born to Ezra and Lena (Dean) Buttrum on November 27, 1933 at Creal, IL and departed this life in Corpus Christi, TX on July 11, 2018 at the age of 84 years, 7 months and 14 days.
Frances grew up in southern Illinois and then made her home for several years in the Del Rio and San Antonio areas of Texas. She married Roy Melvin McDonald on November 22, 1974 in Oklahoma City, OK. They called Wichita Falls, TX their home but moved around with Roy’s electrical contracting job. They settled east of Walters, OK in 1980 where they owned and operated McD’s Bait and Grocery until 1989. Roy Preceded her in death in 2004. Frances moved into Temple 3 years ago and then on to Corpus Christi in February of this year to be near her daughter.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy, in 2004; 2 daughters, Teddie and Teresa Wristen; and a son, Tom Wristen.
Survivors include 3 daughters and sons-in-law, Linda Ross of New Mexico, Dixie and Gary Tondre, Sr. of Corpus Christi, Jackie and Michael Burleson of Oklahoma City, OK; 10 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, 5 great-great grandchildren; other relatives and many friends.
