Mike Cooper

Funeral services at Open Door Church of God, Walters, Friday, March 16 at 2:00 p.m., Rev. Roger Noland Officiating under the direction of Hart-Wyatt Funeral Home in Walters with burial in the Walters Cemetery.

Michael Dudley Cooper was born to Richard Brady and Patricia Lloyd (Vaughn) Cooper on August 20, 1964 in Clinton, OK and departed this life in Lawton, OK on March 12, 2018 at age of 53 years, 6 months and 20 days.

Mike grew up at Frederick, OK. He then lived in Oklahoma City for several years until moving to Walters to be near his sister for much of the past 20 years. Through the years he worked at a couple of service stations along with various other odd jobs. He attended Open Door Church of God in Walters. Mike enjoyed fishing, walking, visiting friends, music and OU Sooner football.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Richard Cooper and Patricia Marshall, as well as a brother, George Von Cooper.

Mike is survived by his sister, Sadie Teakell, of Walters; 2 brothers, Richard Cooper of Frederick, and Dennis Cooper and wife Sharon of Oklahoma City; a niece, Holly Cooper of Lawton; and 4 nephews, Dennis Cooper of Oklahoma City, Eric Cooper of Davis, Justin Teakell and Heath Teakell of both of Walters.
