Daisy Roberts

Daisy Adella (Bowles) Roberts was born May 3, 1921 in Walters, OK to Benjamin Franklin and Jewel N. (Wright) Bowles and departed this life in Temple, OK on February 28, 2018 at the age of 96 years, 9 months and 25 days.

Daisy attended Walters Public Schools. She married William Paul Roberts, of Walters, on June 26, 1941 in Henrietta, TX and to the union 3 daughters were born. She was a homemaker and also worked for Haggar at Temple Manufacturing for nearly 20 years. She was an accomplished seamstress, traveled with a bowling league, loved to play bingo and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Walters.

Daisy was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; her brother, Charles S. Bowles; 2 sisters, Mima Morris and Rosa Catherine Elliot.

Survivors include 3 daughters, Adella Pauline Riley and husband Bobby Joe Riley of Burkburnett, TX, Jewel Dean Hooker of Walters, and Sally Jo Beavers of Lawton, OK; her nephew, Tommy Joe Elliot of Walters; 7 grandchildren, Mike Riley, Chris Riley, Robert Hooker, Julie Kyle, Elizabeth Crew, Staci Dodson and Dana Owens; 14 great grandchildren; 8 great-great grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
