Marilyn June (Phillips) Mallow was born to James Floyd and Ethel (Batsell) Phillips on February 23, 1933 at Walters, OK and departed this life in Lawton, OK on October 28, 2017 at the age of 84 years, 8 months and 5 days.
Marilyn grew up at Walters. She married Jack Milton Mallow on February 19, 1949 at Henrietta, TX and have enjoyed 68 years of marriage. Moving with Jack’s phone company job, the couple lived in several North Texas towns, eventually settling in Wichita Falls. In 1966 the family came back to Walters where the kids finished high school. In 1970 the couple built their current home north of town where they have been engaged in farming. Marilyn worked through the years as a beautician.
She has been member of First Baptist Church in Walters since childhood. She has enjoyed collecting dolls, traveling, making summer trips to Colorado, square dancing, was a great cook and enjoyed having the family together for meals. She loved people and spending time with them.
She was preceded in death by her parents; 2 brothers, Glen and Jimmy Phillips; and a sister, Juanita Youree.
Survivors include her husband, Jack Mallow, of the home; a daughter, Dianne Jackson of Seymour, TX; a son, Gregg Mallow of Walters; a sister, Martha Davis of Hesperia, CA; 4 grandchildren, Matthew Mallow and wife Jennifer of Temple, OK, Angela Green and husband Jerry of Highland Village, TX, Kyle Heuchert of Seymour, TX and Amanda Phillips of Wichita Falls, TX; 10 great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
