Graveside services at the Faxon Cemetery, Faxon, OK, Tuesday, October 17, 2017 at 2:00 p.m., under the direction of Hart-Wyatt Funeral Home in Temple, OK. Viewing on Monday from 9:00 am to 8:00 pm, and on Tuesday from 9:00 am to 12:00 noon.

 

 

 

Jarvis Dean Stoner was born on November 18, 1933 to Jack and Edith (Tipton) Morrison in Grandfield, OK. Upon the death of her father she had been adopted by her paternal aunt and her husband, Carl and Ruby (Morrison) Reed. She passed away October 13, 2017 at the age of 83 years, 10 months and 25 days at The Gables at Rolling Meadows, Wichita Falls, TX.

 

Dean grew up in Temple, OK. She later moved with her parents, Carl and Ruby Reed to Dallas, TX, where she graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School in 1951. On February 2, 1952 Dean married Billy Bob Benson, to the union 3 children were born, Bruce, Lisa and Carla. She later married Calvin O. Stoner on April 15, 1983.

 

She enjoyed reading and watching football, as well as, a bet on all games. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Temple. She is soaring "The Heavens" with Calvin and riding her favorite cow pony, Popeye.

 

She was preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Edith Morrison, and Carl and Ruby Reed; her sister, Jaquetta Roach; her son-in-law, Andy Llewellyn; her granddaughter-in-law, Summer Benson; and her great grandson, C.E. Benson.

 

Dean is survived by her son, Bruce Benson and wife Maxine of Randlett, OK; her daughters, Lisa Llewellyn of Austin, TX, and Carla Lacefield and husband Don of Chapel Hill, NC; 4 grandchildren, Grady Benson and friend Jessica of Randlett, Fancy Hogen and husband Hopson of Chapel Hill, Haley Hall and husband John of New Bern, NC, and Morgan Llewellyn of Austin; great grandchildren, Lilli Benson, Payton Benson, Nicholas Hogen, Sutten Hogen and Reed Hogen; as well as, Calvin’s children, Marilyn, Glenn and Kimberly; and several nieces, nephews and other relatives.
