Bruce Williams

Funeral Service at First Baptist Church, Walters, Saturday, July 22 at 2:00 p.m. with burial in the Walters Cemetery under the direction of Hart-Wyatt Funeral Home in Walters.

Bruce Leon Williams was born to Roy Samuel and Lillian Albertha (Casey) Williams on May 8, 1943 at Walters, OK and departed this life in Lawton, OK on July 17, 2017 at the age of 74 years, 2 months and 9 days.

Bruce grew up at Walters, graduating from WHS in the Class of 1962. He made Walters his home where he raised registered Beefmaster cattle along with a 30 plus year career with Civil Service at Ft. Sill as an artillery mechanic. He also enjoyed coaching little league baseball and football in Walters for many years.

He was a member of First Baptist Church in Walters. He enjoyed fishing and hunting, visiting with friends and hanging out at the Walters Coop.

Bruce was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Ronald Williams; and a niece Melody Williams.

Survivors include his daughter, Brenda Patterson and husband John of Lawton; his grandson Chris Williams of Lawton and fiancé, Kina Landrau; his granddaughters, Lauren Patterson and Ashton Patterson of Lawton; 2 great grandchildren, Maylea Patterson and Kingstin Block; 2 brothers, Lawrence Williams of Owasso, OK and Roy Williams, Jr. of Lawton; a nephew, Larry Williams of Owasso; other relatives and many friends.
