Funeral Service at Open Door Church of God, Walters, Thursday, July 13 at 10:00 a.m., Rev. Roger Noland Officiating under the direction of Hart-Wyatt Funeral Home with burial in the Walters Cemetery.
Jeannie June (Williams) Trahan was born to Nathaniel Lee and Maudie Mae (Posey) Williams on March 10, 1948 at Walters, OK and departed this life at her home north of Walters on July 9, 2017 at the age of 69 years, 3 months and 29 days.
Jeannie grew up at Temple, graduating from THS in 1966. She married Richard Don Trahan on May 20, 1967 and to the union 3 children were born. Jeannie worked at the Haggar’s factory in Temple for 20 years then on to KCA Apparel in Lawton for a time before working at Gibson’s and later Dollar General in Walters.
She was a Christian and loved hearing good preaching and singing. She enjoyed shopping, and loved flower gardening and working in the yard. She was also good at pouring concrete and could fix anything, to include doing plumbing.
Jeannie was preceded in death by her parents and several brothers and sisters.
She is survived by her husband Richard of the home; 3 children and their spouses, Angela and Homer Hernandez of Dallas, TX, Richard and Renê Trahan of Bixby, OK and Misty and John Timms of Lawton, OK; 4 brothers and sisters, Robert, Merle, Wilma and Sugar; 8 grandchildren, Cody, Joshua, Jordan, Justus, Noelle, Molly, Caleb and Bralyn; her Trahan brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Dennis and wife Mary, Brownie, Howard and wife Janet, Cindy, Shawn and Risa; many other relatives and friends.
