Kennith Thompson, 81, Walters, OK
Graveside services at the Walters Cemetery, Saturday, June 17 at 11:30 a.m., Rev. Roger Noland Officiating under the direction of Hart-Wyatt Funeral Home in Walters.
Kennith George Thompson was born to Tillman George and Maud Ruth (Berry) Thompson on February 17, 1936 at Ahpeatone, OK and departed this life in Walters, OK on June 14, 2017 at the age of 81 years, 3 months and 28 days.
Kennith grew up west of Walters in the Emerson Community and attended 1st through 6th grades at Pecan Grove School. He finished at Ahpeatone, graduating in 1954. He then attended Cameron College where he was involved in the ROTC, played on the first football team Cameron College had, and he also played basketball and baseball for Cameron.
He married A. Lee Thompson and they enjoyed 32 years of marriage. Kennith was an Electrician for PSO for 38½ years and he also owned K.T. Electric until his retirement at age 71. He was a member of the Elks and the Circuit Riders. Kennith was an outdoorsman and had a great love for hunting and fishing.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents; parents, Tillman and Ruth Thompson; a sister and brother-in-law, Betty and Freddie Houston.
Survivors include his wife A. Lee Thompson of the home; daughters, Kennetha Thompson, Loanna Whitehead and husband Jon, Eugenia Anderson and husband John; grandchildren, Colby Hilbert and wife Sandra, Krystal Stores and husband Justin, Jared Whitehead and wife Amanda, Dalas Anderson and wife Cindy, and Dakota Anderson; great grandchildren, Braxton, Bree, Chloe, Beckett, Addison, Grey, Knox, Madalyn, and Mia; his sisters and brothers-in-law, Dorothy and A.D. Quickle, Linda and Carroll Blythe; many other relatives and friends.Saturday, June 17, 2017
