Funeral Services at Hart-Wyatt Funeral Home Chapel, Walters, OK, Tuesday, May 23 at 10:00 a.m. followed by Graveside Services in the North Burns Cemetery, Burns Flat, OK at 2:00 p.m. with Donnie Dorman officiating.
Carolyn Sue (Dorman) Fento was born to Glen Evert and Dollie Marie (Melott) Dorman on November 29, 1962 at Pauls Valley, OK and departed this life in Walters, OK on May 20, 2017 at the age of 54 years, 5 months and 21 days.
Upon Carolyn’s birth the family lived at Lindsay, OK but soon moved several times including moves to: Elmore City, OK, Maysville, OK and then to Alaska, living at Nikiski, Soldotna and Eagle River. They eventually returned to Oklahoma and Carolyn graduated from Rush Springs High School, receiving a scholarship for playing the clarinet in the band. She then moved to Perryton, TX for a time before moving to Elk City, OK and attended Southwestern Oklahoma State University in Sayre, graduating in 1999 with an Associate’s Degree in Criminal Justice.
She married Terry Steven Fento on June 30, 2000 and they have made Walters their home. She worked 16 years as a Corrections Officer and Case Manager and retired in February of 2017. She loved spending time with her family and grandchildren, writing, collecting records and listening to Country and Western music.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Glen and Marie Dorman.
Survivors include her husband, Terry Steven Fento of Walters, OK; a daughter, Leaila (Pettijohn) Lance and husband Carl of Duncan, OK and their children, McKenzie, Carlea, Madison and Carson; a daughter, Savannah (McCarty) Benefiel and husband Rocky of Walters and their children, Jordan, Austin and Gage; a step-daughter, Dena Gennings and husband, James of Killeen, TX and their children Brooke Tolliver and husband Josh, Maison Arness and husband Chad; a step-daughter, Cheryl Foster of Joshua, TX and her children, Shelby Harmon and husband Mikel, Joseph Bayless and wife Susan, and Sierra Bayless; great grandchildren, Maison, Greyson and Hayden Tolliver, and James Gennings II; her brothers and sisters, Allen Dorman and wife Linda of Purcell, OK, Cheryl Martin and husband Bob of Stayton, OR, Judy Cloud and husband James of Macomb, OK, Michael Dorman and wife Heather of Soldotna, AK, Tony Dorman and wife Shanna of Burns Flat, OK; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
