Graveside Service in the Temple Cemetery, Thursday, December 22 at 2:00 p.m., with Military Honors under the direction of Hart-Wyatt Funeral Home in Temple.
Larry Alton Wrape was born to Gus Alton and Dorothy Elizabeth (Roberson) Wrape on April 22, 1947 at Temple, OK and departed this life at Lawton, OK on December 20, 2016 at the age of 69 years, 7 months and 28 days.
Larry grew up at Temple and made it his home for most of his life. He married Lenora Alvarado in 1967 and to the union a son Kent was born. The couple also had twin girls who were stillborn on December 27, 1970. Lenora suffered from a terminal illness and passed away on April 25, 1972. Larry later married Teresa Collins in 1976 and to the union 3 children were born, Keith, Jason and Jamie.
Through the years Larry worked as a truck driver hauling grain for 10 years or so then did trucking for Copeland Equipment and later hauled cattle for Howard Cattle Company of Claypool. His hobbies were eating, watching football on TV and shopping on eBay. He was proud to have served his country honorably in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam Era.
He was preceded in death by his wife Lenora and twin daughters; his parents, Gus and Dorothy Wrape; 2 sisters, Anita Avery and Judy Collins; and his brother, Ronnie Wrape.
Survivors include 3 sons, Kent Wrape and wife Cayla of Walters, Keith Wrape and Jason Wrape both of Temple; his daughter, Jamie Wrape of Temple; 6 grandchildren, Kristian Wrape, Kacie Bennett and husband Mitch, Colton Wrape, Gus Wrape, Honesty and Jaleigh Wrape; 3 great grandchildren, Chasiti, Elle and Reni; other relatives and friends.
