 Memorial Service the Church of Christ, Temple, OK on Friday, October 28, 2016, 2:00 p.m., Kent Simpson officiating under the direction of Hart-Wyatt Funeral Home. Memorial donations can be made to the Temple Church of Christ, P.O. Box 296, Temple, OK 73568 or the KAM Kartway, 4746 E. Hwy 114, Rhome, TX 76078.

 

 

 

Tommy Ronald Simpson, “Ronnie” or “Deuce,” was born to Robert and Mary Myrl (Edmondson) Simpson at Walters, OK, on July 28, 1946 and departed this life in Flower Mound, TX on October 23, 2016 at the age of 70 years, 2 months and 25 days.

 

Ronnie grew up at Temple, graduating from THS in 1965. He married Judy Taylor on July 1, 1972 and they had 2 daughters, Julie and Danko.

 

He was a self-employed truck driver for most of his life, a car salesman, a truck driver for Sandford Oil in Wichita Falls, TX, and owner of Hazmat Audio Guide. He served as Cotton County deputy sheriff in the 70’s. Ronnie enjoyed Elk hunting, fishing, auto racing and was the #1 Dallas Cowboys fan.

 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Myrl Simpson; and sisters, Patsy Carter and Linda Simpson.

 

Survivors include, daughter, Danko Hogan & husband Tony and their 4 kids, Andy Dale, Adam, Madilyn & Bear all of Flower Mound; daughter, Julie Smith & husband Lynn and their 2 sons, Zachary Smith & wife Charlie, (their daughter Zoey) & Tyler Smith all of Temple; a son, Ronald Simpson of Flower Mound, TX; nieces, Tracy Stewart of Wichita Falls & Kaye Carter of Iowa Park, TX; 2 bonus granddaughters, Krisha & Brittany; 3 other bonus grandchildren, Nolan, Chance & Cooper; countless other family & friends from Texas to Montana.

 

An opportunity will be given to anyone wishing to share a memory of Ronnie at the Memorial Service. Family and friends will gather at the home of Lynn & Julie Smith following the service.
