Margaret Scott, 61, of Temple, OK

Graveside Service at the Ryan Cemetery, Ryan, OK, Sunday, September 4 at 4:00 p.m., Rev. John Carlisle officiating under the direction of Hart-Wyatt Funeral Home in Temple where viewing will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Saturday.

Margaret Mary (Benson) Scott was born to William Ivor Sr. and Mary Evelyn (White) Benson on May 8, 1955 at Cheyenne, WY and departed this life in Shawnee, OK on August 28, 2016 at the age of 61 years, 3 months and 20 days.

Margaret grew up an Air Force brat moving around with the military, but spoke mostly of growing up in Oklahoma and Hawaii. She married Leon Scott on April 28, 1983 at Henrietta, TX and they made their home in Temple, OK, through the years.

Margaret enjoyed being read to, playing Bingo, bowling and crocheting. She was a family person and loved Elvis.

She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Mary Benson; her husband, Leon Scott; a brother, Charles E. Benson; and a son-in-law, William J. McGowan.

Survivors include 3 daughters and sons-in-law, Chris Burns of Waurika, OK, Crystal and Gene Palmer of Walters, OK, and Debra and Eric Coston of Temple, OK; her grandchildren, Tyler, Stormy, Nina, Elizabeth, Skyler, Jordan, Colby, Toby and Sarah; a great grandchild, Harley; 4 brothers and spouses, Robert and Rhonda Benson of Springtown, TX, Andrew and Ruth Benson of Wichita Falls, John Benson of Wichita Falls, William and Ronda Benson of Belleview, TX; 3 sisters, Theresa and Dewey Roberts of Springtown, Barbara and Charles Perry of Minnesota, Kathy and Robert Marquis of Arizona; many nieces, nephews and greats.
