Funeral Services at Hart-Wyatt Funeral Home Chapel, Saturday, August 27, 2016 at 10 a.m., with burial in the Walters Cemetery. A Prayer Service will be held at Hart-Wyatt Chapel on Friday evening at 7:00 p.m.

 

 

 

 

Howard Dean “Dino” Vardell was born to Howard and Bonita June (Cooper) Vardell on March 6, 1962 at Lawton, OK and departed this life in Walters, OK on August 24, 2016, at the age 54 years, 5 months and 18 days.

 

Dino grew up at Walters where from an early age he went on harvest with his family for several years. He married Kaye Lee Kaniatobe on January 1, 1991 at Wichita Falls, TX and they made their home in the Claremore/Tulsa, OK area where he worked as a welder for Piping Engineering. He eventually returned to Walters and worked several years as a farmhand for Andy Flanagan. He enjoyed widdling and making walking sticks. Dino loved going visiting, making his rounds everyday to the homes of both family and friends.

 

He was preceded in death by his mother, Bonita Cooper Anderson on November 25, 2012; and wife, Kaye Lee Vardell on July 18, 2016.

 

Survivors include his father, Howard Vardell and wife Jo of Walters; 4 children, Valerie Vardell of Walters, Jonathan Vardell of Fort Worth, TX, Miranda Smart of Washington, and Briana Vardell of Walters; 3 grandchildren, Brayden Nicholas Wauqua, Donovan Macks Wauqua and Jaxton Bayne Lee; 2 brothers and spouses, Raymond Vardell and Linda of Manford, OK, Gerald Wayne Vardell and Shirley of Comanche, TX; a sister and her husband, Andy Jester and Mickey of Sapulpa, OK; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends.
