Kenneth Paul Meyer was born to Charlie Augusto and Alice Emma (Haynes) Meyer on October 2, 1942 at Walters, OK and departed this life in Temple, OK on August 20, 2016 at the age of 73 years, 10 months and 18 days.
Kenneth grew up at Walters, Hastings and Temple, OK. Through the years he worked at Town and Country Mobile Homes in Lawton, worked as a carpenter for Dick Evans, worked for Kenneth Simpson building stock trailers, was a carpenter at Ft. Sill and served as maintenance supervisor for 23 years at Temple Public Schools. He married Kathy Beckel on December 21, 1990 in Lawton, OK.
Kenneth was a faithful member of his churches; Cameron Baptist in Lawton where he taught children’s church for many years and then First Baptist Church in Temple where he was involved in the van ministry. He enjoyed rebuilding old tractors, Harleys and doing woodwork.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Charlene Blum.
Survivors include his wife, Kathy, of the home; his son, Dusty Jake Meyer of Oklahoma City; a grandson, Bradly Dean Taylor of Oklahoma City; brothers, Charles Meyer and wife Bevilyn of Temple, and John Meyer of Temple; his sister, Barbara Wann and husband Dickie of Walters; many nieces, nephews and friends.
