Wylie S. Fuller, 80, Duncan, OK
Funeral services at Ray of Hope Church, Duncan, Wednesday, July 13 at 1:30 p.m., Pastors Mike McCord and Dow Pannell officiating. Interment will follow at the Duncan Cemetery under direction of Hart-Wyatt Funeral Home, Walters, OK. Family and friends visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. Tuesday July 12 at Ray of Hope Church. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Ray of Hope Church, 281300 E 1790 Rd Duncan, OK 73533.
Wylie S. Fuller was born to Wylie C. and Edith M. Fuller on January 12, 1936 in Duncan, Oklahoma and went to his heavenly home Friday, July 8, 2016, at Mercy Hospital, Oklahoma City, OK at the age of 80 years, 5 months and 26 days.
Wylie married Dalorice Sylvester, the love of his life and best friend on December 20, 1957 at the Highland Park Baptist Church in Duncan. They enjoyed a special celebration party for their 50th Wedding Anniversary with many family and friends.
He went to Duncan High School, graduating in 1954. Wylie went to work at Halliburton Services in 1954 starting as a Machinist and retiring in 1986 as a Methods Analyst. After retiring he taught Machinist School at Duncan Vo-Tech for Halliburton and after that worked as a Real Estate Agent. He served in the 45th Infantry Division of the Oklahoma National Guard for 20 years and worked as Auxiliary Police for many years.
Wylie loved the Lord with all his heart. He had a servant’s heart serving any way he could to help people. He was ordained as a deacon in the First Assembly of God Church in Duncan. He also taught Sunday School for many years and loved being in the Lord’s House as often as he was able. “He was a true Gentleman and Servant of God”.
He loved God’s great outdoors, to include fishing, hunting, golfing and riding his motorcycle. He and Dalorice belonged to the Christian Motorcycle Club and enjoyed the many trips they took with CMA.
Wylie was preceded in death by his father and mother; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Fred and Margaret Sylvester; a sister-in-law, Cindy Amey; and nephews, Kevin Sylvester and Todd Mayer.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Dalorice of the home; a special sister Rayma Sylvester and husband Roy and son Mark; two brothers-in-law, Fred Sylvester and wife Louise, and Jaron Sylvester and wife Darenda; many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers will be Ronnie Bernard, Mark Sylvester, Randy Sylvester, Jaron Sylvester, Colt Sylvester, Clint Sylvester and Kolby Sylvester.
Wylie your love you left to each of us will remain in our hearts ALWAYS. RIP Wyl, til we see you again.
