Rudy Paul King was born to Abner Chester and LaDonna Faye (Jackson) King on August 5, 1947 at Walters, OK and departed this life in Walters on May 16, 2016 at the age of 68 years, 10 months and 11 days.

Rudy grew up at Walters. He married Carolyn Francis Pulis on August 8, 1968 at Wichita Falls, TX and to the union 2 sons were born. They made their home at Walters where he worked as a mechanic for V.C. Davis and at 4-Flags, and he also farmed for Lloyd English. He eventually hired on with Cotton Electric as a mechanic in 1975, retiring 1995 due to ill health.   

He enjoyed doing woodworking, making crosses and playing golf. He loved spending time with his grandkids and supported them in attending all their activities. He was a member of First Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include his wife, Carolyn of the home; 2 sons and daughters-in-law, Gordon and Talitha King, Kevin and Nicole King all of Walters; 4 grandchildren, Baylee Mooney and husband Robert, Ely King, Heath King and Rainey King all of Walters; his in-laws, Oscar and Pat Pulis of Walters, Reuben and Sharon Pulis of Temple, Nelda Tidwell of Walters, Wanda Froese of Craig, CO, Bill and Susie Pulis of Comanche, OK; other relatives and many friends.
