Russell Adams

Funeral Service at Union Valley Baptist Church, Friday, April 29 at 1:30 p.m., Rev. Arbuary Ritter officiating with burial in the Walters Cemetery under the direction of Hart-Wyatt Funeral Home in Walters.

Russell Todd Adams was born to Kirby Dale and Sondra Louise (Griffin) Adams on September 21, 1964 at Wichita Falls, TX and departed this life in Randlett, OK on April 26, 2016 at the age of 51 years, 7 months and 5 days.

Russell grew up at Cookietown, OK and attended Big Pasture Schools, graduating in 1982. He worked from 1982 to 1987 for Texas Electric Service Company as a meter reader. Russell married Anita Briscoe and to the union 2 sons, Jesse and Clay, were born. Through the years he has mainly called Randlett his home and worked as a welder at various shops in the Wichita Falls area. He has also worked as a reserve deputy for Cotton County and as a security guard at Comanche Red River Casino. He last worked as a tool-pusher. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and auto mechanics.

He was preceded in death by his mother Sondra Kinder in June of 2014.

Russell is survived by his sons, Jesse and Clay Adams of Burkburnett, TX; his dad, Kirby Adams and wife Joyce of Hastings, OK; his sister and brother-in-law, Darla and Jerrell Adams of Midlothian, TX; his step-brothers and sister, Craig and Aaron Henson both of Frederick, OK, Ashley Bain and husband Austin of Walters, OK; his niece, Krista Cox and husband Ryan, and their son Camden, all of Midlothian; his nephew, Grant Adams of Midlothian; many other relatives and friends.
