Carol Dunagan

Graveside Service at the Temple Cemetery, Temple, OK, Tuesday, April 12 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Jay Driskill officiating under the direction of Hart-Wyatt Funeral Home in Temple.

Carol Leona (Phillips) Dunagan was born to Marvin and Teresa (Weifel) Phillips on January 20, 1941 at Elmhurst, IL and succumbed to cancer on April 8, 2016 in Duncan, OK at the age of 75 years, 2 months and 19 days.

Carol grew up in Elmhurst, IL, where she attended public high school. She married Lloyd Dunagan, Jr. on August 24, 1966. She was employed for many years and retired as a cafeteria worker in the Temple Public School system.

Carol attended the Presbyterian Church while in Temple. She loved to read and play bingo whenever she could.

She was preceded in death by her father, Marvin Phillips and her mother, Teresa Phillips, both of Elmhurst, Illinois and her husband Lloyd Dunagan, Jr. in 2008.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, David and Angie Dunagan of Duncan; her step-daughter Debbie Kiser and son-in-law Tracy Kiser of Fayetteville, NC; granddaughters, Camie Strunk and Daveana Barrington both of Comanche, Calena Halliburton and Kimberly Sides both of Duncan, Jennifer Bishop of Austin, TX, and grandsons David Halliburton of Duncan, and Junior Harrell of Fayetteville, NC; as well as, many great grandchildren, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
