Betty Jean Looney was born to Dovie (Pilgrim) and Edward Williamson Swinney on August 5, 1941 at Madill, OK and departed this life in Wichita Falls, TX on February 13, 2016 at the age of 74 years, 6 months and 8 days.
Betty grew up in the Devol/Randlett, OK, area. She married Floyd Chester Looney on June 19, 1958 at Grandfield and to the union 6 children were born. They made their home at Randlett where Betty was a homemaker. She did lots of cooking and enjoyed watching the Young and the Restless, as well as, watching cooking shows. They attended Pentecostal churches through the years.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Dovie Swinney; her husband, Chester Looney in 2004; and 3 sisters, Biddy Looney, Barbara Creed and Letha Joan Looney.
Survivors include her 6 children and spouses, Dexter and Tenya Looney, Randlett, Gary Looney, Randlett, Randy and April Looney, Wichita Falls, Ralph Looney, Randlett, Nancy and Jimmy Lowery, Randlett, Peggy and Michael Carr of Iowa Park, TX; 2 sisters and spouses, Judy and Randy Burleson, Randlett, Karen and Tommy McNair, Marlow; 9 grandchildren spouses, Scott and Patty Looney, Ashley Lowery and fiancé Alex Bedford, Quentin and Rachel Lowery, Ryan Looney and fiancé Breanna Hoff, Alexandria Boswell, McKenzie Looney, Bryan Looney, Mindy Carr, and Allyson Looney; 7 great grandchildren, Jackson, Domanic and Peyton Bedford, Ensley and Owen Lowery, Heather Taylor and Michael Parker; many other relatives and friends.
