Donald Lee Wood was born to Norman Wilson “Nub” and Velma Lee (Brown) Wood on September 7, 1938 at Lawton, OK and departed this life in Lawton on January 7, 2016 at the age of 77 years and 4 months.

Donald grew up at Faxon where he graduated from high school in 1957. He married Neita R. Swinford and to the union 2 sons where born. Donald was engaged in farming for many years and around 1977 began operating Donald Wood Trucking along with his farming.

He enjoyed building things and tinkering in his shop, watching Westerns on TV and sightseeing. He also enjoyed his antique tractors and was a member of the Cache Creek Tractor Club. He was also a member of the First Baptist Church in Geronimo.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and his son, Russell Lee “Rusty” Wood.

Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law, Jerry Don and Marguerite Wood of Geronimo; 8 grandchildren, Kerry Don Wood and wife Nicole, Kyle Callahan and wife Sarah, Jerry Lee Wood, Holley Wood Fulton and husband Robert, Lacy Kay McPhail, Tanner Lee Wood, Chelsy Lee Floyd and husband Nathan, and Ruston Wood; 9 great grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
