Funeral Services at Open Door Church of God, Walters, Thursday, December 31 at 10:00 a.m., Rev. Roger Noland officiating with burial in the Walters Cemetery under the direction of Hart-Wyatt Funeral Home in Walters.
Charlotte “Lottie” Manuel was born to Josef and Wilhemiena Lidy on September 20, 1931, Augsburg, Germany and departed this life in Lawton, OK on December 28, 2015 at the age of 84 years, 3 months and 8 days.
Lottie grew up in Augsburg, Germany, where she graduated from High School. She later attended nursing school, working as a nurse for the Red Cross while in Germany. She married Oscar Ray Manuel in Augsburg on April 3, 1954 and she soon came to America through New York City in July of the same year. The couple made their home in Walters since that time. Lottie has been a homemaker and enjoyed crocheting and cooking. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and enjoyed raising her geese, ducks and turkey.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ray, in January of 2005; and 9 brothers and sisters.
Survivors include 2 sons, Frankie Manuel of Paris, CA and Jimmy Manuel of Walters; a daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Donnie Motley of Walters; 2 sisters, Rosa and Louise of Augsburg, Germany; 3 granddaughters, Amy Kelley and husband Todd, Kassi Ely and Tommy Copp, and Gabrielle Manuel all of Walters; 4 great grandchildren, Jake Kelley and wife Hayley of Walters, Lynnsie Kelley and Brant Baker of Duncan, Cross Franklin Copp, and Katie Copp of Walters; and 1 great-great grandchild, Talen Kelley of Duncan, OK.
