Memorial Donations can be made to Hospice of Wichita Falls, 4909 Johnson Rd., Wichita Falls, TX 76310 Orval Ray Foster was born to Leon Uston and Ollie Odell (Whitehead) Foster on April 1, 1940 at Hastings, OK and departed this life in Wichita Falls, TX on November 10, 2015 at the age of 75 years, 7 months and 9 days. As a young boy the family resided in Hastings, Rocky Ford and Essaquanahdale communities before moving to Thornberry, TX where Orval attended grade school. He then attended Reagan Jr. High and graduated from Wichita Falls High School before enlisting in the U.S. Navy on July 11, 1958. He served during peacetime on a destroyer ship, the USS DuPont 941 and continued serving in the Navy Reserves through April 15, 1963. Orval made his home at Wichita Falls, working as a fireman from 1967 to 1984. Then worked with his son Lonnie in his landscaping business until the early 1990's when he went to work at the North Texas State Hospital as a MHMR Services Assistant, retiring on September 1, 2003. He married Donna (Galus) Martin on March 23, 1991 and they have made their home at Burkburnett, TX, since that time. He enjoyed hunting and fishing in the early years and later wood carving, widdling, and knife making. He was preceded in death by his parents; and a sister, Bertha Mae Foster. Survivors include his wife, Donna M. Foster, of the home; His son, Lonnie Foster and wife Vickie of Wichita Falls; his stepson, Gregory Martin of Wichita Falls; his stepdaughter, Kimberly Onstott and husband Brent of Burkburnett; his brother Ted Foster and wife Inez of Wichita Falls; 3 grandsons, Aaron Ray Foster, Cody Foster and Shawn Barnard; a granddaughter, Audri Jean (Barnard) Delgado and husband Nicandro; other cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
