Betty Trimble, 73, of Walters, OK Graveside services at the Temple Cemetery, Temple, OK, Thursday, November 5 at 2:00 p.m., Deacon Bob Quinnett officiating under the direction of Hart-Wyatt Funeral Home in Walters. Betty Ellen (Hardin) Trimble was born to James O. Hardin, Sr. and Mildred Irene (Shaw) Hardin on October 11, 1942 at Walters, OK and departed this life in Oklahoma City, OK on November 3, 2015 at the age of 73 years and 23 days. Betty grew up west of Temple, OK and graduated from THS in 1960. She then attended Cameron College, Oklahoma State University and finished at Southwestern Oklahoma State University in Weatherford in May of 1966, receiving her BS in Education, majoring in Home Economics with a minor in Business. She later received her Elementary Certification from Cameron University in 1975 and received a BA in Pastoral Ministries from Kansas-Newman College of Wichita, KS, in 1996. She married Ivan Lee Trimble on August 7, 1968 at Walters and to the union 2 daughters were born. They made their home at Selden and Leoti, KS, teaching school at Selden High and Leoville High. They settled back in Oklahoma on a farm south of Walters in 1971. She eventually returned to teaching in the mid 1980's and continued thru May of 2013. Teaching 6th Grade at St. Mary's Catholic School in Lawton, and later substitute teaching at Lawton and Geronimo Public Schools. She was a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Lawton. Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Ivan; and her parents, James and Mildred Hardin. Survivors include 2 daughters and a son-in-law, Debora and Randy Kleiber of Brenham, TX and Madonna Trimble of the Home; 2 grandsons, Justin and Kyle Kleiber of Brenham, TX; 2 brothers, James O. Hardin, Jr. and wife Virginia of Duncan, OK, Richard Hardin and wife Loretta of Temple, OK; a sister, Linda Dennis and husband Joe of Duncan; other relatives and friends.
