Summer Benson, 38, Temple, OK Funeral Services at First Baptist Church, Temple, Monday, September 28, 2015 at 2:00 p.m., Bro. Kim Hayes and Rev Charles McConnell officiating. Interment in the Temple cemetery under the direction of Hart-Wyatt Funeral Home in Temple. Visitation from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home. Summer Gail (Bridges) Benson was born April 16, 1977 at Wichita Falls, TX and departed this life in Temple, OK on September 23, 2015. She grew up in Hastings, OK and graduated from Waurika High School. She married Grady Bruce Benson of Temple on December 21, 1996 and from this union came three children: Lilli, Payton and Carl Ewing. At the time of her death she was employed at Graham Jewelry in Comanche, OK. Summer's greatest joy was her children, she loved anything outdoors, tending to the family farm, working at the pecan barn and spending time with her family. Summer had the heart of a servant; she had great joy from helping others. She was preceded in death by her son Carl Ewing Benson; and grandparents Tiner and Bobbie Bohot. Survivors include Grady Benson, children Lilli and Payton Benson, of Temple; her mother Sue Bridges of Hastings; 2 sisters Heather Hernandez and husband Santiago of Burleson, TX, Dallas Hayes and husband Kevin, of Chickasha, OK; her father Gary Bridges and Sally of Amarillo, TX; her mother-in-law and father-in-law, Maxine and Bruce Benson of Randlett, OK; 2 uncles Ronnie Bohot and wife Belinda of Hastings, Ricky Bohot and wife Amanda of Factoryville, PA; cousins, nieces, nephews and a host of many friends.
