Eva (Piatt) Miller Fryer, 74, of Oklahoma City, OK, Funeral Services at the Open Door Church of God, Walters, OK, Tuesday, September 22 at 11:00 a.m., Rev. Roger Noland officiating. Burial in the Walters Cemetery under the direction of Hart-Wyatt Funeral Home of Walters. Eva Virginia (Piatt) Miller Fryer was born to Herbert and Hazel Marie (Tuck) Piatt on July 20, 1941at Enid, OK and departed this life on September 16, 2015 in east Oklahoma City, Choctaw County, OK at the age of 74 years, 1 month and 27 days. Eva grew up in the Walters area, graduating from Walters High School. She went on to attending Cameron College in Lawton and Southwest Oklahoma State University in Weatherford, receiving a bachelor's degree, first becoming a teacher and later an RN. She owned and operated Parkview Manor Nursing Home in Walters for many years along with operating the Walters Ambulance Service. She also served as a Reserve Sheriff's Deputy for a time. Her passion for many years was raising her exotic cats. She had been a member of the Walters Chamber of Commerce and the Rotary Club. For the past six years Eva has worked as an RN for Sterling House in Duncan, South Park in Oklahoma City and Harrah Care Facility in Harrah. She was preceded in death by her parents, Hazel and Herbert Piatt; 2 brothers, Roy and Charles Piatt; and husbands, Art Fryer and Richard Newton. Survivors include her son, Jeff Miller, of Oklahoma City, OK; a granddaughter, Logan Ann Miller of Walters; 2 grandsons, Maverick Miller of Texas and Dustan Stapp of Walters; a great grandson, Lane Stapp; a brother, Robert; and several nieces and nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.
