Geraldene "Jerry" Jackson, 87, Hastings, OK Funeral services at Hastings Baptist Church, Monday, August 17 at 2:00 p.m., Rev. Charles McConnell officiating under the direction of Hart-Wyatt Funeral Home in Temple, OK. Geraldene "Jerry" Jackson was born to Walter Lee and Clara Mae (Collins) Williams on May 7, 1928 at Hastings, OK and departed this life in Midwest City, OK on August 13, 2015 at the age of 87 years, 3 months and 6 days. Jerry grew up in the Addington, Hastings and Waurika area of Jefferson County. She has made her home mainly in the Hastings, Temple and Waurika areas but for a time in Texas. Through the years she worked for Haggar's and did various other jobs, always known as a hard worker. She was owner and operator of Sand's Motel at the end of her working years, retiring at the age of 80. She married Wilburn Jackson on February 17, 2008 at Walters, OK and they made their home in Hastings. Jerry has enjoyed spending the last 7 years with her husband, especially getting out of the house for a daily drive and no worries in life. She also enjoyed word puzzles, cryptograms, quilting, sewing and playing Solitaire. She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Gerald Lewis James; and a granddaughter, Kimberly James. Survivors include her husband, Wilburn Jackson, of the home; twin sons, Larry Gene James and wife Deborah, and Gary Dene James all of Temple, OK; 2 daughters, Gloria June Mooney of Temple and Gail Claudine Toombs of Denton, TX; a brother, Glenn Williams of Hastings, OK; a sister, Gwen Slaton and husband Sims of Temple; 14 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild; many other relatives and friends.
