David Crank, 61, Geronimo, OK Funeral Service at Geronimo Baptist Church, Thursday, July 16 at 2:00 p.m., Rev. Eddie Coast officiating. Burial in the Walters Cemetery under the direction of Hart-Wyatt Funeral Home. Visitation on Wednesday, July 15, from 6:00 to 7:30 at the funeral home. David Leroy Crank was born to Alvin Leroy and Bessie Juanita (West) Crank on March 7, 1954 at Walters, OK and departed this life in Lawton, OK on July 13, 2015 at the age of 61 years, 4 months and 6 days. David grew up at Geronimo, graduating from GHS in 1972. He then went to work as a heavy equipment operator for the State Highway Department. On August 6, 1976 he married Laquita J. Moon at Walters and to the union 2 children were born. They lived in Walters for 6 years before moving to Geronimo were they have made their home for the past 32 years. He was a jack of all trades worked various jobs through the years, such as, working at Halliburton, drove a cattle truck, did dozer work, hauled trailers and for the past 7 years has been driving a truck for Gills Waste Oil Co. His passion was being a part of the Lawton Rangers, having served as a Past President and currently serving as a Board Member. He enjoyed gardening, hunting and fishing. He loved his grandkids and spending time with them. David was preceded in death by his father, Buddy Crank; and his mother-in-law, Peggy Moon. Survivors include his mother, Bessie Crank of Geronimo; his wife, Laquita, of the home; a son, Dustin Crank of Geronimo; his daughter and her fiance, Kari Adams and Schad Ruhe of Geronimo; a brother and sister-in-law, Gary and Linda Crank of Lawton; his father-in-law, L.D. Moon of Geronimo; 4 grandchildren, Abbie Crank, Tyler Adams, Keaton Crank and Ayden Ruhe; many other relatives and friends.
