Sue Bowles, 78, Walters, OK Graveside Service at the Fairview Cemetery, Randlett, OK, Wednesday, July 15 at 10:00 a.m., Rev. Arbuary Ritter officiating under the direction of Hart-Wyatt Funeral Home in Walters. Sue Wilkinson Bowles was born to James Virgil and Edna Katherine (Marshall) Wilkinson on August 18, 1936 at Devol, OK and departed this life in Lawton, OK on July 12, 2015 at the age of 78 years, 10 months and 24 days. Sue grew up on the Red River south of Devol, attending Devol School and then Randlett High School, graduating in 1954. She married Jerry Marion Bowles on December 25, 1953 at Randlett, making their home at Randlett, Burkburnett and Devol before settling at Walters in 1960. She worked at Haggar's in Temple and then at Hazel Piatt's nursing home before being employed at United Supermarket for 22 years. She was a member of the Union Valley Baptist Church at Cookietown. She enjoyed attending church and always helped with VBS while at Calvary Baptist in Walters. She also enjoyed gardening, doing yardwork and being helpful to others. She was preceded in death by her parents; 3 brothers, Jerry, Gene and Jimmy Wilkinson; and a sister, Marjie. Survivors include her husband, Jerry, of the home; a son, Jimmy Bowles and wife Jeri of Eufala, OK; 2 daughters and their spouses, Kathy and Alan Thompson of Arapaho, OK, Debbie and DeWayne Langolf of Perryton, TX; 2 brothers and spouses, Glenn and Nina Wilkinson of Bastrop, TX, Kenneth and Kathy Wilkinson of Iowa Park, TX; 2 sisters, Virgie Mullins and husband, B.B., of Quinlan, TX, and Gladys Davis of Mesquite, TX; 9 grandchildren, Alan Ray Thompson, II, LeAnn Tanner, Korbi Wilson, Sam Thompson, Misty Piccanato, Custis Thompson, Freddie Newsom, Jerry Newsom and Katlyn Medler; 19 great grandchildren, 4 great-great grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
