James Adams

James N. Adams, 61, Walters, OK Memorial Service at Hart-Wyatt Funeral Home Chapel, Walters, Tuesday, June 9 at 2:00 p.m., with Masonic Rites. James Newton Adams was born to Paul and Georgia (Newton) Adams on May 9, 1954 at Hillsboro, TX and departed this life in Duncan, OK on June 4, 2015 at the age of 61 years and 26 days. James grew up in Hillsboro, graduating from high school in 1972. He made his home in the Henrietta, Jacksboro and Bellevue area of south Clay County, TX working in the farming and ranching industry for 30 plus years. He was also schooled in custom boot making. He married Donna Kennedy on May 29, 2009 at Henrietta and eventually made their way to Walters, OK, in 2012. He was a longtime member of the Bluegrove Masonic Lodge in Clay County, Texas. He loved riding horses and herding cattle. He doted on his children as they were growing up and thought his granddaughter hung the moon and stars. James was preceded in death by his parents; and 2 brothers, Harold and Mark Adams. Survivors include his wife, Donna Kennedy Adams, of the home; a son, Jeffery David Adams of Bluegrove, TX; a daughter, Leslie Marie Adams of Wichita Falls, TX; his granddaughter, Chloe Marie Balle of Wichita Falls, TX; 4 sisters, Donna Rodgers of Whitney, TX, Paula Hall of Brownwood, TX, Martha Rhoads of Cameron, TX and Lori McDowell of Whitney, TX; other relatives and friends.
