Rosetta Wilson Nance, 83, Walters, OK Graveside services at the Walters Cemetery on Saturday, May 23 at 10:30 a.m., Lt. Israel Roseno officiating under the direction of Hart-Wyatt Funeral Home. Viewing from 9:00 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday, May 22. Rosetta (Wingo) Wilson Nance was born to John Edward and Armanda (Higgins) Wingo on February 14, 1932 at Bowie, TX and departed this life in Oklahoma City, OK on May 19, 2015 at the age of 83 years, 3 months and 5 days. Rose grew up mainly in the Madill, OK area. She married Lois DeLain Nance in 1949 at Sherman, TX and they soon moved to the Sunnyvale, CA, area. To the union 3 daughters and a son were born. Lois passed away in January of 1961 and she eventually returned to Oklahoma making her home at Anadarko and then Chickasha. Around 1980 she moved to Walters and was employed at Walmart in Lawton. In the mid 1990's she lived at Brighton, CO. She then enjoyed time at Lake of the Pines in Harleton, TX. She has resided back in Walters for the past 10 months. While in Colorado she became a Deacon in the Presbyterian Church. She enjoyed garage sales, quilting, watching Wheel of Fortune, dancing, working in her flower beds, bird watching and loved her tom cat, Phoenix. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Armanda Wingo; her husband, Lois Nance; 2 brothers, Charles and Walter Wingo; a baby sister, Eleanor Wingo; and a granddaughter, Christy Lee Follett. Survivors include 3 daughters and spouses, Jeannie and Mike Jahr of Jefferson, TX, Sandy Warden of Walters, Pat and Don LeBarre of Walters; a son, Johnny Nance and wife Terry of Walters; a brother, Frank Wingo of Galt, CA; a sister, Helen Markham of Sayre, OK; 7 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, 5 great-great grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
