Billy G. Jones, 82, Temple, OK Funeral Services at First Baptist Church, Temple, OK, Tuesday, April 7 at 1:00 p.m., Rev. Michael E. Turner officiating with burial in the Temple Cemetery under the direction of Hart-Wyatt Funeral Home in Temple. Billy Gene Jones was born to Willie and Iretha (Goudeau) Jones on January 9, 1933 at Pierce, OK and departed this life in Lawton, OK on April 1, 2015 at the age of 82 years, 2 months and 23 days. Billy grew up at Pierce, OK and then made his home in Arizona for a short time before moving to Temple, OK in 1953. He married Stella Mae (Baldwin) Johnson on September 20, 1972 at Wichita Falls, TX. He has made Temple his home, working in construction and carpentry in Southwest Oklahoma for many years. He was a member of Church of the Lord Jesus Christ in Temple where he served as Deacon and sang in the male choir. Billy enjoyed gardening, woodwork and spending time with his family, especially the grandkids. He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Albert Jones; and an aunt and uncle, Ethel and Jack Long. Survivors include 2 sons, Trollis DeBoise of Oklahoma City and Eugene Johnson of Temple; 6 daughters, Juanita Booker of Temple, Geneva Jones and Robert of Ardmore, OK, Verna "Pumpkin" Phillips and Johnny of Lawton, Barbara Taylor of Tacoma, WA, Bertha "Peaches" Stewart and L.C. of Lawton, Helen Walker and Ronnie of Ardmore; 5 brother and sisters, Willie Jones of Temple, Elouise Wooten of Lake Eufala, OK, Irma Jones of Temple, Mil Jean Stack of Las Vegas, and Lillian Johnson of Long Beach, PA; 20 grandchildren, 41 great grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews, other relatives and host of friends.
