Mason Prentice, 11, Walters, OK Funeral Mass at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, Lawton, Friday, February 20 at 10:30 a.m., Rev. Joseph Ross Officiating with interment in the Walters Cemetery. Mason J-E Prentice was born to Eugene David and Gail Elaine (Parsons) Prentice on September 19, 2003 at Fort Hood, TX and departed this life in Lawton, OK on February 16, 2015 at the age of 11 years, 4 months and 28 days. Mason spent the first 8 years of his life in Killeen, TX, until moving to Walters, OK, in the summer of 2011. He attended Walters Elementary until starting the Fall 2014 semester at St. Mary's Catholic School. He attended Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Lawton and St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church in Kirby, TX. Mason enjoyed skateboarding, playing Pokemon, loved Classic Cars and could identify them and tell you about them. In the San Antonio area he loved bicycle rides, movies, zoos, museums and the "Riverwalk." Survivors include his father, Gene Prentice of Kirby, TX; his mother, Gail Prentice of Walters; 2 sisters, Morgan Parsons-LeBarre and Mackenzie Benson both of Walters; his paternal grandmother, Pat Prentice of Chicago, IL; his maternal grandmother, Pat Parsons of Walters; his paternal grandfather, Leo Prentice and wife Linda of Brothertown, WI; a paternal great grandmother, Jeanne Mitchell of Crystal Lake, IL; his nieces and nephew, Heaven and Heyden Sias, and Kiersten Landis; 2 aunts, Rene Parsons of Walters, Valerie Doggett and husband Cliff of San Antonio, TX; other relatives and many friends. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Ernest Parsons; and his aunt, Anna Prentice.
