Jewell "Jill" Tisdale

Jewell Tisdale, 63, Temple, OK Funeral services at the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ, Temple, OK, Saturday, January 10 at 2:00 p.m. with burial in the Temple Cemetery under the direction of Hart-Wyatt Funeral Home in Temple. Jewell "Jill" Tisdale was born to Herman and Bertha Mae (Baldwin) Tisdale on December 9, 1951at Temple, OK and departed this life in Lawton, OK, on January 5, 2015, at the age of 63 years and 27 days. Jewell grew up in Temple where he has made his life except for a time in Temple, TX, around the late 1970's. He was employed at the Haggar slacks factory until it closed and then did construction. Jewell was a fun and likable person who enjoyed fishing and spending time with family and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Herman Tisdale; 2 brothers, Lawrence Tisdale and Harry Joe Tisdale; and 2 nephews, Darryl Tisdale and Deshon M. Wartley. Survivors include his mother, Bertha Evans of Temple, OK; his son, Jimmy Tisdale of Lawton; 2 daughters Karletta and husband Sgt. Derrick Edwards of Ft. Bragg, NC and Felicia Bufford of Augusta, GA; 3 brothers, Harvey Tisdale and wife LaDoris, Bradford Tisdale, Hubert Tisdale and wife Shirley all of Temple; 2 sisters, Christine Wartley and husband Henry of Temple, and Marilyn Hester of Clinton, OK; 13 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren; many nieces, nephews and cousins.
