Letti Jay Smith was born to Alfred Neel and Linda Lee (Tabbytosavit) Smith on September 25, 1963 at Lawton, OK and departed this life in Lawton on January 5, 2015 at the age of 51 years, 3 months and 11 days. Letti grew up at Walters, but for a time in Kansas as a young child. She graduated from Walters High School in 1982. Through the years she has worked at Mac's Quickmart, did daycare, cleaned for Calfy Bros., and worked one year in Branson, MO, at the Mel Tillis Theater. She was also a beautician and had worked for Headlines Salon after finishing Aladdin Beauty School. Letti was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Walters. In high school she played basketball, softball, ran track, was head cheerleader, Miss WHS and Football Queen. She had a unique sense of fashion, loved playing gospel music and reading her Bible. Her kids, Chase and Kalee were the joy of her life. She loved children in general and enjoyed taking care of kids and her parents. She had a servant's heart and enjoyed making and buying things for others. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Chase and Kaylee Smith of Lawton; her daughter, Kalee Smith of Walters; her parents, Alfred and Linda Smith of Walters; 2 sisters and brothers-in-law, Sissy and Robert Martinez of Walters, Cookie and David Payne of Branson, MO; a brother, Alfred Lynn Smith of Walters, OK; 6 nieces, 2 nephews, 4 great nieces and 2 great nephews; many other relatives and friends.
