Mildred Pauline (Rankin) Kerr was born to John William and Bonnie Ruth (Powell) Rankin on November 12, 1920 in Mangum, OK and departed this life at Hospice of Wichita Falls, Texas on November 22, 2014 at the age of 94 years and 10 days. Pauline graduated from Burkburnett High School in 1939. She married Woodrow Kerr on April 3, 1940 and they spent the majority of their lives on the family farm at Cookietown, OK. She was a wife, mother, homemaker and often part-time farmhand. She enjoyed sewing and cooking, and was a wonderful, attentive grandmother and great-grandmother. She was an active member of Union Valley Baptist Church at Cookietown for many years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Woodrow; grandson, Gary Murphy; parents John Rankin and Bonnie Powell Rankin Hall; brother, Doyce Rankin and his wife, Beth; and a brother, Jimmy Rankin. Pauline is survived by her daughters: Patricia Murphy and husband, John of Cookietown, and Linda Burbank and husband, David of Wichita Falls; 5 granddaughters and their husbands: Shari and Brad Sanford of Jacksonville, TX, Carrie and Wes Ward of Niles, MI, Kim and Steve Mihal of Wichita Falls, Cinda and Jim Obney of Wichita Falls, Michelle and Clay Morgan of Keller, TX; her legacy continues with 16 great grandchildren and 8 great-great grandchildren; she is also survived by a sister-in-law, Maxine Rankin of the Cashion Community, TX; numerous extended family members and many friends.
