Byrleta Helen (Goldenstein) Holt was born to Willie J. and Gertrude Acel (Harelson) Goldenstein at Foss, Oklahoma on December 5, 1930 and departed this life on November 21, 2014 in Lawton, Oklahoma at the age of 83 years, 11 months and 16 days. Byrleta grew up at Braithwaite, OK, near Foss and Burns Flat, graduating from Burns Flat High School in 1949. After moving around for a time she eventually attended Southwestern at Weatherford, OK, receiving Bachelor and Master Degrees in Education. She then taught elementary school at Hoisington, KS. On a trip to visit family at Walters she met Connie Max Holt. They married on August 10, 1968 at Walker, MN and made their home at Walters. Until her health failed she had been an active member of the Walters Assembly of God and of the Rebekah Lodge. Through the years she had enjoyed doing crafts, reading, gardening and canning. Byrleta was preceded in death by her husband, Connie Max Holt in 2004; her parents, Willie J. and Gertrude Acel Goldenstein and a brother John Goldenstein. Survivors include 1 brother, Frank Goldenstein of Eufala, OK; 2 sisters, Delores Sullivan of Burns Flat, OK and Lena Goodwin and husband Donald of Mustang, OK; several nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
