Brenda Kay Yarbrough

Brenda Yarbrough, 53, Duncan, OK Brenda Kay (Norton) Yarbrough was born to Odis Omer and Wanda Lee (Mapp) Norton on November 8, 1960 in Oklahoma City, OK and departed this life in Oklahoma City on September 23, 2014 at the age of 53 years, 10 months and 15 days. Brenda grew up at Temple, OK, graduating from THS in 1979. She continued making her home in Temple for several years. She married Christopher Lynn Yarbrough on December 23, 1992 at the Methodist Church in Waurika, OK. They have made their home in Duncan since 1995. Through the years Brenda worked for the U.S. Census, was a tax preparer, operated Elite Carpet Cleaning from 1991 to 2006, and was currently working in sales, marketing and merchandising through Advantage Sales and Marketing. She had a drive about her and truly had an entrepreneurial spirit. She loved her cats and dogs, and was a strong advocate for animal rights. She loved her family and genuinely enjoyed visiting with whoever she came in contact with. She was preceded in death by her parents, Odis and Wanda. Survivors include her husband, Chris, of the home; a sister, Sue Wyatt and husband Joel of Temple, OK; 2 brothers, Odis Lee Norton of Oklahoma City, OK, and Mike Norton and wife Sharon of Temple, OK; numerous nieces and nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.
