Florene (Pugh) Henderson was born to Homer and Marguerite (Gillespie) Pugh on January 9, 1935 at Dallas, TX and departed this life in Wichita Falls, TX on July 31, 2014 at the age of 79 years, 6 months and 22 days. Florene grew up at Temple, OK, graduating from THS in the Class of 1952. She married Dean Aaron Henderson on January 29, 1955 in Temple and to the union a son, Max, was born. They made their home at Wilson and then onto Wichita Falls before settling at Iowa Park, TX in 1963. She was employed at Fedway, Western Auto, Parkway Funiture, the Friendly Door Senior Citizens Center in Iowa Park, and then worked in property management for the past 20 plus years. She was a perfectionist in every way. She was an excellent seamstress and while Max was in high school she made all of his shirts and leisure suits, always keeping to the current styles. She loved traveling and enjoyed the company of friends and family. She was preceded in death by her parents, Homer and Marguerite Pugh; and earlier this year, her sister, Novalene Purvis. Survivors include her husband, Dean, of the home; a son and daughter-in-law, Max Dean and Yvonne Henderson of Iowa Park, TX; 2 grandchildren, Jodi Schlaud and husband Chris, and Jeffrey Dean Henderson all of Iowa Park; a great grandson, Samuel Schlaud; her brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Evella Eidson, Vernie and Sue Henderson, Wanda and Bobby Singleton, Tommy and Carol Henderson, Gracie and Wayne Brinkley, Betty Shelly, Kenny and Mary Henderson; other relatives and a many of friends.
