Evangeline Kay (Dohle) "Sissy" Hanson, was born to Robert Joseph and Venita Gertrude (Turnbough) Dohle on November 24, 1951 at Steelville, MO and departed this life in Walters, OK on July 8, 2014 at the age of 62 years, 7 months and 14 days. Sissy grew up in the Panama Canal Zone, graduating from Cristobal High School in 1970. During the Vietnam War Sissy was faithful to write to the GI's for encouragement. She married Harold Hanson in Panama on December 30, 1972 and to the union 3 children were born. They made their home at Lawton, OK in 1973 and eventually moved the family to Walters around 1993. She did move to Washington State in 2008 but returned to Walters in 2012. Years ago she had become a Certified Nursing Aide, serving those in need of care at various medical facilities for 35 years. During those years she was employed as a CNA at Parkview Manor in Walters, Temple Manor, Good Samaritan Nursing Home in Washington, Comanche County Memorial Hospital and McMahon-Tomlinson Nursing Center in Lawton. She enjoyed watching her grandchildren play sports. She loved talking to people about the Lord. She never met a stranger and loved taking care of others. She was preceded in death by her mother and father, Venita and Robert Dohle. Survivors include 2 sons and their wives, Shane and Michelle Hanson, Derick and Kera Hanson all of Walters; a daughter and her husband, Georjette and Tim Lynch of Walters; 7 grandchildren, Morgan and Abigail Goldman, Halle, Ryder and Holden Hanson, Kyle and Jessica Whitecotton; 9 brothers and sisters and their spouses, Skip and Minnie Dohle, Robert and Tricia Dohle, Mark Dohle, John and Ruth Dohle, David Dohle, Craig Dohle, Judy Rajotte, Janie O'Driscol and Georgia Glover; other relatives and friends.
