Margaret Bridgers, 90,Walters, OK Margaret (Knight) Bridgers was born to John Bryant and Augusta Belle (Ruffin) Knight on February 7, 1923 at Crowell, TX and departed this life at her home northeast of Walters, OK on January 5, 2014 at the age of 90 years, 10 months and 29 days. Margaret grew up in Cotton and Stephens Counties. She married Carl Douglas Bridgers on July 29, 1941 at Duncan, OK. They made their home in the Beaver Creek area east and north of Walters and have lived at the current location since 1960. She went to work at the Haggar Slacks Factory in Temple in 1957, working both full and part time for several years. She was mainly a homemaker and enjoyed reading, sewing, quilting, gardening, cooking, and listening to the Antique Road Show. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 71 years, Carl; a daughter and son-in-law, Marie and J.C. Neely; a granddaughter, Shelly Dawn Bridgers; 2 sisters, Reva Stafos and Esther Brown; and 2 brother, Dale Knight and Larry Knight. Survivors include four children and their spouses, Sue and Gerald Hayes, June Hedges, Paul and Sharon Bridgers, and Charles Bridgers, all of Walters, OK; 10 grandchildren and spouses, Joel Neely of Frederick, OK, Robert and Lori Hedges of Temple, OK, Michael Neely of Wichita Falls, TX, Kristie and Scotty Sells of Carnegie, OK, Scotty and Yolanda Hayes of Walters, OK, Kenny and Leslie Snider of Sterling, OK, Paula and Brian Lokey of Comanche, OK, Lisa and Dane Pendley of Cyril, OK, Charla Wauqua of Elgin, OK, Starla and Ryan Bradshaw of Sterling, OK; 29 great grandchildren, Emily Neely, Brenna Neely, Daniel and Angel Hedges, Robert Mooney, Tyler Hedges, Andrew Hedges, Sarah Hedges, Jenifer and Casey Brown, Bailee Sells, Layton Harper, Ramona Limon-Simmons, Hayden Hayes, Kyle and Ashley Snider, Chayton Snider, Gracie Snider, Dakota Lokey, Rabeka Lokey, Harleigh Pendley, Kade Pendley, Jay Bridgers, William Wauqua, Kenzlee Wauqua, Heston Wauqua, Paisley Wauqua, Logan Bradshaw and Carter Bradshaw; 5 great-great grandchildren and one on the way; a sister, Jean Borst of Kansas City, KS; a brother, Darrel Knight of California; many nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
