Frankie Dee Sturdivant was born to Dwaine Patrick and Frankie (Townsend) Cole on March 21, 1925 at Drumright, OK and departed this life in Temple, OK on December 26, 2013 at the age of 88 years, 9 months and 5 days. Frankie grew up in Oklahoma and West Virginia. She settled in Oklahoma City 1948 where she was employed at both Kerrs and John A. Brown Department Stores as a sales clerk. She married Edward Raymond Paul, Sr. and to the union 2 sons, Eddie and Robert "Bobby" Paul, were born. Frankie later married Gene Sturdivant on December 25, 1959 in Oklahoma City and to this union a son, Orvil Sturdivant, was born. The family moved to Walters in 1960 and Frankie went to work once again in retail sales at Meador's Department Store in Lawton. She finished her career at Woodward's Department Store in Walters. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Walters and had been a member of the Order of Eastern Star. Frankie was an avid sports fan and loved watching her kids and grandkids play ball. She was preceded in death by her parents and 2 sisters, Willemina McKithan and Etta Jean Price. Survivors include her husband, Gene Sturdivant, of the home; 3 sons, Eddie Paul and wife Cindy of Moore, OK, Robert "Bobby" Paul of Lawton, OK, Orvil and Debbie Sturdivant of Temple, OK; 8 grandkids, Kelli Paul, Jason Paul, Beau Paul, Lessli Paul, Tori Paul, Sunny Sturdivant, Jeremy Ledford and Ryan Ledford; 11 great grandchildren, Ryan, Emily, Lora, Gavin, Haley, Trevin, Trapper, Kelsea, Jeffrey, Corbin and Conner; other relatives and many friends.
