Connie Kay Glenn

Connie Kay (Roberts) Glenn was born to JW "Dub" and Merila Mae (Rogers) Roberts on November 8, 1946 at Blanchard, OK and departed this life at Comanche, OK on December 9, 2013 at the age of 67 years, 1 month and 1 day. Coming from Blanchard, OK at the age of 3, Connie grew up at Walters, graduating from WHS in the Class of 1965. She married David Lee Glenn on June 5, 1965 at the Methodist Chapel in Walters. They made their home in Duncan until returning to Walters in 1967 where they raised their girls. Through the years Connie worked as a customer service representative for Parrish Insurance and Bartling Insurance and had owned and operated The Flower Basket flower and gift shop. She was an avid OU Sooners fan, Braves fan and big supporter of Walters athletics and other school activities. She played fast pitch softball while in her 20's and 30's, and coached girls softball for many many years. She enjoyed camping out at the lake and river. She was involved with the Walters Civic League from the start and was a member of the First United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Dub and Merila. Survivors include her husband David of the home; 2 daughters and sons-in-law, Kalee and Barry Jantzen, Ginger and Scott LeBarre all of Walters; 6 grandchildren, Ryan Linthicum of Walters, Anna Moran of Houston, TX, Tyler Linthicum, Kyle Linthicum, Marisa LeBarre and Allie LeBarre all of Walters; 3 great grandkids, Kason, Madelynn and Blakely; other relatives and many friends.
