Charles Ray Baker was born to Frank and Dorothy (Covington) Baker on June 8, 1933 at Pauls Valley, OK and departed this life in Lawton, OK on November 20, 2013 at the age of 80 years, 5 months and 12 days. Charles grew up in the Temple and Walters area of Southwest Oklahoma. He married Dorothy Lee Kosechata on August 2, 1952 at Walters where they made their home. They moved to Texas in 1954 where he worked many years for Parker Drilling in the oilfield. Upon retiring they moved back to Oklahoma, making their home at Cache in 1983. Charles enjoyed gardening and going to the casino. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Dorothy on November 19, 1991; 2 infant children, Ralph and Vickie; and a young brother, Richard Baker. Survivors include 3 daughters, Patricia McKinney of Cache, OK, Juanita Heredia and husband Manuel of Monahans, TX, and Claudene Green of Higgins, TX; 3 brothers, Alan Ray Baker of New Martinsville, WV, Patrick Neal Baker, Lester Matthew Baker and wife Roberta of all of Monahans, TX; 2 brothers and their wives, Harold and Sue Baker of Bend, OR, David and Sue Baker of Fairview, OR; 12 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, other relatives and many friends.
