Marjorie Fern (Williams) Agler was born to Frank Oren and Alice Fern (Williams) Williams on March 4, 1924 in the Tisdale Community near Winfield, KS and departed this life in Walters, OK, on September 13, 2013 at the age of 89 years, 6 months and 9 days. Fern grew up in Winfield, KS, where she graduated from high school. She married Alfred Eugene Agler on October 26, 1947. They made their home at Arkansas City, KS, for a time before moving to Walters around October of 1950. Fern worked as a bank teller and then was employed for many years as the billing clerk and municipal court clerk for the City of Walters for many years. Fern was a member of the First Christian Church in Walters. She was also a member the Canasta Club, the Lioness Club and was a Girl Scout Leader. She enjoyed doing China painting, knitting and playing solitaire. She was preceded in death by her husband Al; her parents, Frank and Alice Williams; and her son-in-law, Mike Fletcher. Survivors include 2 daughters and a son-in-law, Paula Fletcher, Pam and Stewart Minton all of Walters; 5 granddaughters and their spouses, Michelle and Kevin Carroll of Glenpool, OK, Andra and Brad Spurlock of Mr. View, OK, Mica and Thomas Smith of Walters, Lizzie and Kevin Burkham of Portland, TX, Tori and Sam Gonzalez of Walters; 10 great grandchildren, Kyla and Brayden Carroll, Alex, Ethan and Ashlynn Spurlock, Clay, Jenna and Kaleb Burkham, Keaston and Kaizer Gonzales; other relatives and a host of friends.
