William Freeland "Billy" Walker was born to Freeland and Martha Lee (Powell) Walker on August 15, 1946 at Walters, OK and departed this life in Wichita Falls, TX on May 14, 2013 at the age of 66 years, 8 months and 29 days. Billy grew up southwest of Walters, attending Walters schools. As a young man he served his country honorably in the U.S. Army. Upon his discharge he continued to life in the Walters, Lawton and Wichita Falls area where he worked as a roofer. He eventually moved to Las Vegas for several years where he was employed at Four Queens Casino. He returned to Wichita Falls in 2010. Billy was a people person and wanted to live life to the fullest. He enjoyed hanging out, traveling, pretty girls, John Wayne, old cars and motor cycles, and spending time with his friend Richard. He was preceded in death by his parents, Freeland and Martha; a brother, Mike Hughes and a sister Sarah Brooks. Survivors include 6 children, Belinda Walker, Breanne Roe and husband Jordan, Cody Kirkland, Bridgette Walker, Brandy Walker and Brandon Walker all of Wichita Falls; a brother and sister-in-law, Randy and Dianna Hughes of Comanche, OK; a sister and brother-in-law, Charla and Johnny Brown of Wichita Falls; a granddaughter, Isabella Rodriguez; other relatives and many friends.
