DaWanda Jones Hamm, 75, of Walters, OK Graveside services at the Walters Cemetery, Tuesday, April 16 at 1:30 p.m., under the direction of Hart-Wyatt Funeral Home in Walters. DaWanda (Peery) Jones Hamm was born to J.T. and Goldie Mae (Tisdale) Peery on November 15, 1937 at Ramona, CA and departed this life in Lawton, OK on April 13, 2013 at the age of 75 years, 4 months and 29 days. The family returned to Oklahoma from California when DaWanda was a young child, making their home on a farm in the Ahpeatone Community. She attended school at Ahpeatone and graduated in the Class of 1955. She made her home in Wichita Falls, TX for several years working at bank before moving to Lawton where she was employed at security bank for 30 plus years. She was a member of Ahpeatone Baptist Church. She enjoyed shopping and going to the lake, and loved her dogs and cats dearly. She was preceded in death by her parents. Survivors include her husband, Bob Hamm of the home; her sister, Nancy Oliver of Duncan, OK; a niece, Kimberly Richards and husband Wayne of Tulsa; a nephew, James Craig Oliver and wife Tammy of Dayton, TN; 5 stepchildren, Vickie Forbes of Pratt, KS, Gary Jones of Owasso, OK, Bobby Hamm, Jr. of Lerado, TX, Curtis Hamm of Lawton, Laura Welden and husband Jay and their children, Bryson, Jayden and Keeli of Manford, OK; several great nieces and nephews other relatives and many friends.
