Burial in the Walters Cemetery, Walters, OK. Angel Lea (Jones) Roper was born to Jimmie O'Dell and Freda LaVern (Isom) Jones on May 16, 1967 at Woodward, OK and departed this life on April 11, 2013 at Duncan, OK at the age of 45 years, 10 months and 26 days. She grew up in Duncan and Woodward, graduating from Woodward High School in 1985. As a young lady she served her country in the U.S. Army and Army Reserves. She made her home in the Lewisville and Whitesboro areas of Texas for 26 years. She worked as manager at Chevron in Coppell, TX and various other convenience stores through the years. She moved to Velma 3 weeks ago to be near her family. She loved to read, cook, crochet and enjoyed playing Farm Town and other games on the computer. She was preceded in death by her father, Jimmie Jones in 2011 and her son Cody Roper in 1987. Survivors include her mother, Freda Jones of Velma, OK; Scott Roper and their son, Nathan, of Whitesboro, TX; 7 sisters and brothers-in-law, Pam and Alan York of Burleson, TX, Theresa and Troy Castor of Velma, OK, Leasa and Brent Anderson of Liberal, KS, Tina and Blaine Plummer of Woodward, OK, Julie and Bruce Price of Ringling, OK, Michelle and Shawn Farrar of Denton, TX, Crystal and Bill Smith of Duncan, OK; many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephew other relatives and friends.
