Lois Louise Cooper

Lois Louise (McGarrah) Cooper was born to Leonard Lonzo and Beulah Elizabeth (Sanders) McGarrah on August 16, 1917 at Loco, OK and departed this life in Palm City, FL on March 15, 2013 at the age of 95 years, 6 months and 28 days. Lois married Auther John "A.J." Cooper on January 6, 1939 at Duncan, OK. They moved around during A.J.'s career with the U.S. Army and eventually moved to Walters, OK, from Salt Lake City, Utah in the mid 1960's. In 1969 they made another moved to Lawton, OK, where they made their home for many years. Lois has lived in Florida for the past few years to be near her daughter Beverly. Lois loved art, playing bridge and dominoes, spending time with family and shopping. She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years on May 13, 1999. She was also preceded by 2 daughters, Barbara Kay Sansome and Linda Gayle Grigsby; 2 grandsons, John Edward Sansome and Michael Worth Grigsby, Jr.; and 2 brothers, Leon and Joe McGarrah. Survivors include a daughter and 2 sons-in-law, Beverly and John Dudzenski of Palm City, FL, and Sonny Sansome of Walters; 6 grandchildren, Terry Sansome, John Pollard, David Pollard, Michael Pollard, Amanda Cimorelli and Kenny Pacheco; 7 great grandchildren, 4 great-great grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
